"Life is tough, isn't it?"

Keeping on with life is tough sometimes, isn’t it? Jeff Gordon and the Hendrick Motorsports team had a tough time last month going to Martinsville Speedway. Ten family members and friends died in a helicopter crash last October coming to the fall race there.

So when Gordon had right front tire problems, pitted on a green flag, and found himself three laps down, you can understand how easy it would have been for him to just give up. But he didn’t. Gordon made up the laps, fought to lead the race on lap 465, and never looked back. It was a sweet victory for the team.
“There’s something special about this place and we lost so many incredible people out of this
organization and the racing community. I think it’s only fitting for us to get this victory today,” Gordon said. “I know how much it means to Rick Hendrick and his family and all those other families. It means a lot to this race team.”

Life is really tough sometimes, but by persevering and asking God for help, you really can make it to victory lane.
