"What’s most valuable to you?"

Click here to listen to Dr. Joey tell his story!

Jim got a call one night from his mother who said, “Mr. Baker died last night. The funeral is Wednesday." Memories of his childhood flashed through Jim’s mind. “He always reminisced about the many days you spent over 'his side of the fence,'” his Mom said.

Jim came home and after the funeral told his mom about a box that Mr. Baker kept locked on top of his desk. “I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he'd ever tell me was 'the thing I value most,'" Jim said.

Some weeks later, Jim received a package in the mail with a letter attached. The letter read, “Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jim Burnett. It's the thing I valued most in my life." Jim carefully opened the box. Inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch. He found these words engraved on the case: "Jim, Thanks for your time! Mr. Baker."

The thing Mr. Baker valued most was Jim’s time. What’s most valuable to you? Which of God’s gifts can you give away today that’ll mean the world to someone else? Find out as you make a life, not just a living today.
