"It’s a small world after all, isn’t it?"
A mother took her son and daughter to a local YMCA for swim lessons. While she was there, she happened to run into a friend that she hadn’t seen or even talked to in about 20 years. The friend was in town with her husband visiting with relatives.
The friend was living in Phoenix and both of her children were born there. So she had no idea what activities there were in town for children. Life around town had changed a lot since she was small. So the mother told her about all of the great activities in the area for children.
The mother really enjoyed reconnecting with a teenage friend as an adult, a mom, a wife. The last time they were together their biggest concerns were how their hair looked, what clothes to wear, and of course—boys.
Life changes, doesn’t it? We change with it, don’t we?
And it’s really interesting to see how we change with life, how our concerns and interests change, too. Today, ask yourself, "Will what seems so important today be just as important 20 years from now?" And make a life!
